The Ravens’ win over the Browns was a costly one.
Elite Youth Sam Reinhart Jersey Ravens coach John Harbaugh said following the 24-10 victory that Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda is out for the season with a broken ankle. The Ravens also lost linebacker Bam Bradley for the year with a torn ACL.
Yanda, a two-time first-team All-Pro selection, has been selected to six consecutive Pro Bowls. He was replaced in Sunday’s game by former Raiders and Texans lineman Tony Bergstrom, who will take over for Yanda for the remainder of the season.
Harbaugh said the Ravens, who are now 2-0, will move forward with Bergstrom, but added, nobody can replace Marshal Yanda.

Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs: He was started in 99.0 percent of ESPN leagues, so his 1.1 PPR fantasy point effort on Sunday was particularly painful. Kelce caught his only target for a gain of 1 yard, resulting in the second-worst performance in his 52 career NFL games, trailing only his NFL debut in 2013 Week 2, when he played just one snap, that coming on special teams.
Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens: Though he was started in just 3.56 percent of ESPN leagues, Flacco’s minus-2.88 fantasy points on Sunday were the second fewest by any skill player in a game so far this season, trailing only Andy Dalton’s minus-3.00 in Week 1. It was also the worst single-game effort by any skill-position player in history in a game in London. Flacco now has six consecutive regular-season games with fewer than 15 fantasy points, rekindling questions about the back injury that cost him the entirety of preseason. He’s not even a consideration for starts in two-quarterback leagues, especially not facing the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4.
Week 2 in the NFL is all about reunions. Five different head coaches will face off against their former teams or colleagues — or both. The biggest reunion will be in Kansas City, where Andy Reid will be on the opposite sideline as his one-time quarterback and former offensive coordinator, Doug Pederson, against the team Reid coached from 1999-2012, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Here’s who else is destined for some pregame small talk on the opposing sideline.
The Broncos want to win, like every team, with a great defense and an unknown-to-average quarterback, relying on the defense, turnovers, field position, run game, and efficient quarterback play. Last season, the Broncos had the defense, sort of got the turnovers (+2), but no run game and a sporadically efficient passing game.

In 2016, Siemian completed 59 percent of his passes, had an 18-10 TD/INT ratio and averaged a low seven yards per pass attempt. Also telling, Siemian completed only 57 percent of passes on third down. The better quarterbacks’ completion rates in that situation range from the high 60s to low 70s. Now not all of those result in a first downs; however, the higher the quarterback completion rate is on third down, the more likely the success.
Authentic Womens Logan Forsythe Jersey Entering the 2017 Broncos season, there was a competition at the quarterback spot between Siemian and 2016 first-round pick, Paxton Lynch. It was a competition in name only. This was Siemian’s job, and through two weeks, the Broncos have been rewarded by sticking with Siemian.
As I started to study Siemian, two things stood out. First, he’s got a little swagger in the offense now. Second, he shows that swagger on third downs.
Tom Brady was shook for a moment, after it appeared the referees were going to miss a call for the Saints’ defense having 12 men on the field.
Brady saw that the Saints were making a late substitution, and did a quick snap to get a free play. After nothing was there, Brady just chucked up the football to end it.
Initially, it didn’t look like the referees were going to make the call, and Brady snapped. He started holding up fingers towards the officials, indicating there were 12 men on the field.
And Brady was right. Tony Romo pointed out on the broadcast that while there were 11 lined up, one was still making his way towards the sideline as Brady snapped the ball.
The player can barely be seen at the bottom of the screen, but he’s there:
The initial shock that Brady would throw such a pass was funny, but it should be known that he knows much better than to make such a silly mistake.
I am here to explain why you should expect nothing less than for Dak Prescott to grab this opportunity by the horns, overcome the adversity, and bounce back in a major way.
As an avid Mississippi State fan, I have been following Dak Prescott since he arrived in Starkville back in 2011. I have witnessed his rise from a three-star prospect that LSU recruited as a tight end to the program’s best player in school history to face of the Dallas Cowboys. That said, it hasn’t always been a smooth ride. Dak has faced his fair share of adversity. He’s overcame each circumstance. Let’s look at some examples of his bounce back performances — both on the college level and during his young professional career.
The Houston Texans are 7-1 straight up and 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Texans hope their success against the Bengals continues when the two teams meet this Thursday night.
Houston is a 5.5-point road betting underdog in Cincinnati at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Cincinnati has been favored in each of its last three home games against Houston but is 0-3 SU and ATS over that stretch.
Going off as a 6-point favorite in their home opener against Brandon Carr Youth Jersey Jacksonville, the Texans were blown out 29-7. The offensive line looks like it could be a problem for Houston all season long, failing to open up running lanes for Lamar Miller and leaving Mark Scheifele Womens Jersey both Tom Savage and Deshaun Watson under duress in the majority of their time under center.
That duo combined for just 162 yards of passing and were sacked 10 times for a total of 54 yards lost. Houston announced Tuesday that Watson will start this week.
Of the injury itself, Richardson simply told ESPN, “It hurt a lot.”
The play itself wasn’t exactly easy, but knowing what Richardson went through moments earlier makes it even more impressive.
“He went back in and caught the game-winning touchdown pass with it,” coach Pete Carroll told ESPN. “Good stuff.”
Richardson’s injury happened on Seattle’s opening drive after going for a low throw from Russell Wilson. After the game, Wilson also commended Richardson’s effort to see the game through.
“That shows his toughness,” Wilson said. “To be a receiver and have your fingers sewed up and to battle and to come back in, that shows his courage.”
SB Nation’s Stephen White chose Richardson as the Seahawks’ breakout player this season. If Richardson’s going to continue to put forth an effort like he did Sunday, that pick looks pretty good.
Speaking of streaming against the Colts’ suspect defense, Higgins is a fun pairing with Kizer in deeper leagues given the instant rapport the two enjoyed in Week 2. Corey Coleman is headed to injured reserve, meaning a batch of meaningful targets are up for grabs in Cleveland. Higgins was targeted on a whopping 28.6 percent of his team-leading 35 routes in Week 2, evidence he might be the key beneficiary of Coleman’s absence over the next several weeks. -J.M.

In July, researchers at BU announced that out of 111 brains of former NFL players examined posthumously, 110 had chronic traumatic encephalopathy, the brain disease that has been increasingly associated with football. Some researchers, including several affiliated with the NFL and other sports organizations, have suggested the BU group has oversold its findings, causing unnecessary hysteria. The BU researchers acknowledge their data set is skewed, making it difficult to assess the true prevalence of the disease.

Patriots-Saints should be one of the — if not the — highest-scoring games of Week 2, and after a disappointing opener, Brady should rebound against the Saints’ shoddy pass defense. Hogan, who had a quiet opener, could rebound in what’s a much more favorable matchup for him, especially as he could see additional snaps should Danny Amendola be unable to play. — Tristan H. The Colts looked hopeless last week in a 46-9 loss to the Rams. At one point, we legitimately believed that Scott Tolzien might break the record for pick sixes thrown in a game before he got benched for Jacoby Brissett. Would the Colts be any better this week with Brissett starting?
Yes. The Colts were in fact better with Brissett … to a point.
Brissett’s best moment came midway through the second half when he led the Colts downfield on a 76-yard field goal drive. He was a perfect 7-for-7 to start the drive, getting the Colts all the way down to the 11-yard line. But he couldn’t close the deal, following that with a pair of incomplete passes. The Colts had to settle for the field goal.
According to ESPN.com’s Pat McManamon, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Coleman had his hand heavily wrapped when he left the locker room. Coleman went through more tests on Monday, and the results confirmed that he broke his right hand once again.
What does this mean for Coleman? Coleman, a 2016 first-round draft pick, will miss a significant amount of games for the second time in his career. He sat out for six games in his rookie campaign after breaking his right hand. Now, he’ll miss more time after sustaining the same injury to the same hand. Coleman has 39 receptions to go along with 475 yards and four scores in his career.
What does this mean for the Browns? Cleveland and rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer will miss Coleman’s speed on the perimeter. The Browns did sign receiver Kenny Britt in the C. J. Prosise Jersey offseason, but he’s struggling with drops and creating separation.
The Browns already have a lack of fire power on offense, and Donnie Shell Womens Jersey Coleman’s injury makes matters worse. Cleveland will now have to depend on Britt, Rashard Higgins, and Ricardo Louis to step up their play.
That didn’t take long.
Texans fans got the quarterback many had wanted all along when rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson replaced starter Tom Savage to begin the second half against the Jaguars Sunday at NRG Stadium.
“The thing we’re always about is meritocracy and opportunity,” Goodell said. “I want to see everyone get an opportunity, including Colin, but those are decisions made by football people.”
O’Brien said after Sunday’s game he made the decision with the hopes his team would “play faster,” but he and his staff have “to figure it out” with a short week.
Savage went 7 of 13 for 62 yards but was sacked six times and lost a fumble that was returned for a touchdown. Watson entered in the second half and led a 14-play, 75-yard touchdown drive on his first series, but finished just 12 of 23 for 101 yards with a touchdown pass and interception.
“The No. 2 quarterback always has to be ready to play and as head coach, you always have to be ready to play the No. 2 quarterback,” O’Brien said. “It’s a decision on what’s best for the team now, and what’s best this year.”
Familiarity has played a huge role in recent GM hires, as well.
Howie Roseman, who lost juice in Philadelphia after the hiring of Chip Kelly, is running the show again for the Eagles. The relationship new Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott and GM Brandon Beane built in Carolina led to the latter being lured away from the Panthers.
Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, coach Chuck Pagano said Authentic Rickey Jackson Jersey Monday.
“[It’s] something that we’ll discuss later [Monday] and into [Tuesday] as we game plan,” Pagano said.”…We have to do what’s Thomas Greiss Youth Jersey best for the football team and what gives us the best chance to move the ball and put points on the board.”
The issue with Brissett starting is that he’s had limited practice because he’s only been with the Colts since Sept. 2 after being traded from New England.
“There’s nobody that can come in and learn a playbook in that period of time, so there’s challenges that would be with any quarterback in any system and in any NFL building,” Pagano said.
The win was also the first for new head coach Sean McVay, who was hired this offseason to fill the vacancy left when Jeff Fisher was fired.
The second-year signal caller completed 21 of 29 passes for 306 yards and one touchdown.
Goff established himself as an elite NFL prospect with an impressive three-year career at the University of California. He was named the team’s starting quarterback as a true freshman and helped the Golden Bears improve from a 1-11 record in 2013 to an 8-5 mark and a win in the Armed Forces Bowl in his final year on campus. He threw 78 touchdown passes in just 25 games in his final two years with the program.
The Rams start the season 1-0, a step toward putting the 7-and-9 bullsh** that ended up sending Fisher to the unemployment line behind them.

Game Dion Dawkins Jersey The fourth-year receiver will count $7 million against the salary cap in 2017 and would’ve counted for $7 million even if he were cut. The Jaguars can’t save any money right now by cutting him loose.
But next year, the team could avoid another $7 million hit as well as $8 million and $9.65 million hits in 2019 and 2020, respectively, by releasing him and it would come with zero dead money. That means if he can’t bounce back and play like he did in 2015, this is probably it for Hurns in Jacksonville.
In addition, the Rams will wear their popular throwbacks for two games against division rivals: Oct. 8 against the Seahawks and Dec. 31 against the 49ers. Both games were selected via fan voting (additional info here).
One final Rams note: Newly acquired wideout Sammy Watkins has been wearing No. 2 during preseason games. That’s kosher in August, when the NFL relaxes its numbering requirements due to the large roster sizes, but Watkins will have to switch to something in the standard wide receiver numeral ranges — 10 through 19 and 80 through 89 — once the regular season starts.
Jamaal Charles: The Broncos (that still feels weird to say) running back was taken to a medical tent to be evaluated for a concussion, but he was cleared to return.
Paxton Lynch: The Broncos quarterback went to the locker room with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return to the game.
Only because when I was a kid and they had those get a photo with a player before the game days at the old Municipal Stadium I had gotten one with Eckersley.
For most part don’t care they are the ‘jersey’ they wear. Never understood the over attachment. Probably an interesting twist to the list would be players who ‘left’ on their own volition (Free Agent, et al) versus those who were traded, a la, Rocky Colavito.
But looking back on it those teams were garbage. Behind the scenes was it an elaborate plan for LeBron to leave, the Cavs to tank, and rebuild then get position to trade for key players? Who knows? But LeBron did bring us a championship, and you were at that parade even if you won’t admit it. The moment he chased down Igoudala from 30 feet back and blocked him at the rim, and then Irving hit that three, things changed in this town. We weren’t going to collapse and have another “The” moment.
